How to Attempt This Paper
- 1
Begin with Child Development & Pedagogy — purely theory-based and a confidence builder.
- 2
Attempt Language comprehension passages early while focus is highest, then shift to pedagogy questions.
- 3
Social Science is split across History, Geography, and Civics (20 marks each). Move through each sub-section systematically.
- 4
If you are unsure of a History date or event, read the question carefully — options often narrow it down significantly.
- 5
No negative marking — attempt every question before the timer ends. Never leave a blank.
- 6
Reserve the last 10 minutes to revisit marked questions.
Preparation Tips
CDP carries 30 marks. Focus on Piaget, Vygotsky, Kohlberg, RTE Act 2009, CCE, and inclusive education — the most tested theory topics in PSTET.
History (20 marks) covers Ancient India (Indus Valley, Vedic period), Medieval India (Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire), and Modern India (British rule, freedom struggle). NCERT Class VI–VIII History textbooks are the primary source.
Geography (20 marks) focuses on physical and political geography of India — rivers, climate zones, natural resources, and land use. NCERT Class VI–VIII Geography chapters are essential.
Social & Political Life / Civics (20 marks) covers the Indian Constitution, democratic processes, government structure, and social issues. NCERT "Social and Political Life" books for Class VI–VIII cover this completely.
Language pedagogy is predictable — revise language acquisition, LSRW skills, and remedial teaching approaches. These questions are reliable marks in both Language I and Language II sections.
